Over the years, the objectives have been pursued with vigour and tremendous success has been achieved. Thus in less than ten (10) years, precisely 1983, the school was able to move to the present site. On account of its high academic standard and the conducive learning environment that it offers, the School has been attracting students from far and near, Kwara and non-Kwarans alike. By 2003/2004 academic session it had already graduated over six thousand (6,000) students in various fields of health care.
In 2003/2004 academic session three(3) new departments were added to the already existing six (6). The new Department offer programmes in community Nutrition, dental and Optometric health. Presently admission into the Optometric Health programme has been halted. On the 21SI Dec. 2004 the Kwara State House of Assembly passed into law, the bill establishing the institution. On the 15th June 2005, Dr. Bukola Saraki, the Executive Governor of Kwara State assent the bill and passed it into law.
Sometimes in the mid 70's the then Federal Government gave a directive to the effect that all state Governments in Nigeria should establish at least, a school of Health technology in their respective slates. In line with this directive, the Kwara State Government Established in 1976, the Kwara State school of Health technology, Offa.
In accordance with the directive mentioned above, the main objectives of the school are to:
- Train students of different cadres in Health profession;
- Retrain and re-orient the existing Health personnel;

Objectives
To provide course of instruction, training and other facilities in health and make these facilities available on proper terms to such persons as are eligible to benefit from them.
To encourage and promote scholarship and conduct research in all fields of learning and human endeavour, particularly in the health sciences.
To relate its activities to the social, cultural, economic and manpower needs of the people of Kwara State, Nigeria and the World at large.
To provide such other activities appropriate for a College of the highest standard and such other course of instruction as are approved by the governing council of the College of which will serve to promote the objectives of the College.
