Its not been easy however, I must say it's been interesting. I am sustain by the challenges we face as hotel at this point in the history of the country particularly, as we all face the economic down turn. I manage the human element and material, I drive the sales and also interface with relevant Government Agencies so it has not been easy but interesting. I love the industry because its not stereo type every day you meet new challenges from both guest and issues from activities of running a hotel of 89 rooms three star hotel.
The industry spends more than 20% of its sales on energy yet you cannot rely on their supply rather always burning fuel or diesel and its attending repairs of the plants. The economic situation is also a major factor as corporate client where much of the hotel revenue comes from are financially precarious thereby making their payment very difficult and frustrating.
