Who is a Pilot?

A pilot is someone who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its directional flight controls in order to transport passengers or goods from one location to another.

Duties of a Pilot

  • Check the weather to plot a flight plan
  • Study and analyze route and flight plans before take-off.
  • Calculate the fuel intake and load and fuel the aircraft accordingly.
  • Operation of the aircraft
  • Communicate with the passengers and crew during flights
  • Makes all final decisions about anything occurring during the flight
  • Fill out records and reports

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in aircraft operations, aviation, aeronautical engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 months of ground training
  • Above 1,500 hours of flight experience
